Hello, I'm Emily

Hello English learners!
I'm Emily and I'm an English language tutor and TESOL certified. Thanks for visiting my website.
First I'll tell you a little bit about me. I'm an Australian, native English speaker and I live in Melbourne. I'm learning Japanese at the moment so I know how difficult learning another language can be but I have a passion for languages and learning about different cultures. I'm interested in playing video games, watching movies and listening to music and I'm always up for learning something new.
I believe I'm a patient person so I'll explain as many times as necessary and in as many different ways until you can understand. I don't care how long it takes or if you make mistakes. I am always ready to listen and help with any difficulty and even if you a shy person, that's ok!

My approach is simple and based on two factors, the lessons are fun and personally suited to you!
I firmly believe that learning another language should be fun and creative. When something is fun and we're relaxed, we remember it easier and for longer. I aim to make each lesson feel like so much fun, you won't realise you're actually learning.
Every student is different which means that every lesson will be different. I'll personalise each lesson to you, your learning style, your interests and your English goals. So, if you learn better by playing games, we will play games and if you prefer repetition and tests, then that is what we will do. If you want to improve your English so that you can live in Australia, or you just think English is cool, that's ok too!
Please ask me any questions you have and I will try my best to answer them. If you have questions about English grammar or just some questions about life in Australia or our culture, please feel free to ask me. I can teach you conversational English to help you get by in Australia, including learning our strange slang and how to use it correctly and in the future I will be able to help with IETLS and TOEFL preparation as well.
I am confident that I'll be able to help you achieve your goal and help you have fun and learn more about English.
